I got inspired by an idea to raise funds for causes and thought I could do better and for better causes..

So, I started programming an automated online system for advertisers to buy advertising space from which funds could be raised. However, events in my life prevented me from developing further what I had started…

My grandfather was very ill with kidney problems, my grandmother is ill with cancer and as the only child in the family and with the experience of managing many people and organisations I had to spend a lot of time working with doctors, nurses and my family to bring some sense of peace to our lives, as well as try to earn a living. My wife has helped a lot and I thank her greatly for her contributions. Life would have not have been as easy without her.

My grandfather passed away peacefully in 2005 and I now feel that my grandmother passed away in late 2007 and from my dreams I believe she has joined my grandfather.

The good thing is that my will to raise funds for causes that I believe in has been strengthened by my experiences over the past few years and I feel ready to really pursue and push my idea again.

I want to raise funds for life opportunities.

My first fund raising cause is for St Mary’s Hospice Birmingham, without whom I don’t think the life of my grandmother would have been as long and as comfortable as it was. You can see a list of all causes at any time by clicking here.

I initially want to raise funds by selling advertising space on home page based pages for each cause and donating funds to directly to the causes and their support projects and also investing some of the funds in the Set Forever organisation to help it grow.

The inspiration for the home page based page is where space on a page is divided into smaller spaces (Sets).

Each Set has one price.

People can buy the Sets for a minimum duration up to a maximum duration and have rollover text, an image/logo and a website link.

In future, I would like not to directly promote and help sell Sets. I would like only promoters who believe in the causes to do it and make money if they want to.

You can currently advertise and help sell the Sets as a registered promoter and you can make money (if you want to) for every sale that you help make (a commission).

You do not have to take all or any of the commission and if you don’t then the remaining amount will be added to the cause fund related to the Sets that you help sell.

Your commission amount will simply be a percentage of the value of a single sale transaction.

The funds raised from the sale of Sets (minus commissions) will be used as follows:

• Assigned to the cause fund related to the sale. A minimum of 50% will be assigned to the cause fund. If promoters don’t take all of the available commission then the remaining amount will be added to the cause fund.
• To maintain and grow Set Forever.
